Hopefully the Tigers were able to get a few winks of sleep after their late game last night and are right back at the Metrodome ready to go. Tell Mrs. Twinkie to put the brooms away before I eat her cuz there will be no sweeping today. Justin Verlander will not allow that to happen. JV has been absolutely dominant in his last three starts allowing just 1 earned run over 23 innings while striking out an amazing 31 batters. Also I'm hoping that Mags will be able to turn it around today and produce some runs amidst the rumors that he may be released/benched at some point this year in order to save the Tigers money. The fact that he is a career .429 hitter against Twins starter Scott Baker may bode well for him and he will be hitting in his typical 3 spot in the order today. Dane Sardinha will be calling the signals yet again for the Tigers while Gerald Laird gets another day off.
