Prince Fielder hits a triple in 2013 All-Star Game, AL wins

Prince Fielder hit a triple in the 2013 All-Star Game off the former Tigers bullpen gas can Jason Grilli. It was his 11th career triple in nine seasons.

He was excited and so was Mariano Rivera, clapping like a kid out there:

Here's how it looked in the MLB play by play:

Now here's video of Fielder's triple while Tim McCarver recites the lyrics to "Enter Sandman".

The AL won the Tigers home field advantage in the 2013 World Series, 3-0. Miguel Cabrera doubled and scored the game-winning run while also saving a run with a nice play on defense. Jhonny Peralta had a hit, too.

Mariano Rivera won the game's MVP because he's retiring and it's the only award he's never won before. He's the best reliever I've ever seen, but I didn't know we were just giving out awards… classy, but kind of like Brett Favre falling over for Michael Strahan to get the NFL's sack record.
