Detroit Lions vs. (Insert Fantasy Football Team Here)
Written by Devin Jones

Common fantasy football wisdom tells that you must start any player that is playing the Detroit Lions. They make the Mike Bells and the Heath Millers of the world fantasy studs. Not starting someone against the Lions would be as stupid as introducing to your friends that fat chick you took home from the bar; you just don’t do it.

But where do you draw the line between rooting for your fantasy players and actually rooting for the Lions?

I guarantee every Lions fan with a fantasy football team has given under the table low-fives when their player scored against the Lions. And unfortunately, the Lions are incapable of having a fantasy owner’s dream scenario: a 36-42 shootout resulting in a Lions W.

Does this take our fanhood into question? Probably. So what if I want A.P., Sidney Rice and Visanthe Shiancoe to blow up this week against Detroit?  Because at the end of the day, somebody’s got to be producing, and more than likely, it won’t be the Lions.
